This policy explains how EduSow handles information when you use this website. We will update it if the website's data practices change.

Information you choose to provide

You may select PDF, JPG, or PNG study materials to extract text and generate quizzes or flashcards. Avoid submitting confidential, highly sensitive, or personal information that is not needed for studying.

Study files and AI features

Text extraction is performed in your browser. When you request an AI-generated quiz or flashcards, the extracted text and related settings are sent to EduSow's Supabase-hosted functions to process the request. Those functions and the AI service configured for them may process the text to return results. Do not submit material you do not have permission to use or share. Check the applicable service providers' privacy terms for details about their processing and retention.

Information stored in your browser

EduSow saves study-tracker records and saved flashcards in your browser's local storage on that device. This helps preserve them between visits. They are not automatically synced across devices. Clearing browser site data may remove these records.

Service providers and technical information

EduSow uses Supabase-hosted services for AI feature requests and uses third-party libraries for PDF processing and optical character recognition. Those providers may receive technical information needed to deliver their services. Their own privacy policies and terms may apply.

Analytics

At the time of this policy update, Google Analytics is not intentionally configured in the website code. If analytics is added, this policy will be updated to explain the relevant data collection and controls.

Advertising and cookies

EduSow may apply to display third-party advertising, including Google AdSense. If advertising is enabled, Google and its partners may use cookies or similar technologies to serve, measure, and personalize ads as permitted by applicable settings and law. You can learn about Google's advertising practices and controls in Google's advertising policies. This website should not display ads until the relevant advertising setup and disclosures are in place.

Children's privacy

EduSow is intended for students, including younger users. Do not provide unnecessary personal information. A parent or guardian should help younger users with privacy questions and any account or payment-related arrangements.

Your choices

You can choose not to upload study materials, remove locally saved flashcards or study history using the website's controls where available, or clear EduSow's site data in your browser. Clearing local data may be irreversible.
